THE VNN
Verkehrsgemeinschaft Nordost-Niedersachsen GbR (VNN) was founded in 1995 by several transport companies from eight districts. The aim of the association is to jointly develop and strengthen local public transport in the region.
Together with districts, municipalities and other partners, VNN is working to make local transport reliable, understandable and attractive for people in the region.
The most important tasks of the VNN include
- The safeguarding and further development of local and regional transport services.
- The design of fares and customer-friendly fare systems.
- The provision of passenger information and timetable information.
- Cooperation with public transport authorities, transport associations and partners.
- Advising and supporting the shareholders in the areas of planning, financing and marketing.
